Story #1
I would like to nominate my friend Debbie for the Wicked Tickets.
She is a "friend for good" and has been a best friend of mine for over 35 years.
We have been through the journey of life together and I am so fortunate to have her in my life.
From the adventures of being teenagers, through love, laughter, heart breaks, joys of marriage and children, the sadness of divorce, the deaths of a spouse and parents, job successes, job failures and what ever life has tossed our way. She is one special friend and through it all we have been friends for each other. But being a "good" friend extends beyond me, she is good to all whose lives she touches. She shares what she has, even when she is down to her last dollar, she will make it stretch to share it with another. She is amazing and "good" doesn't get much better.

Story #2
My "For good" friend is my mother. God has truly blessed me with a wonderful mother. This past year, she was laid off from her teaching job of over 20 years. As a family, we struggled financially and emotionally, but my mom's faith, and perserverance prevailed. For an entire year, she worked diligently applying for probably 50 jobs. She never gave up on herself and was confident that there was a plan for her. Seeing her strength and faith tested this past year, I was reminded of all the times that she never gave up on me - that she always had faith in me and believed I could do anything. She has always been a role model to me - after seeing her make a difference in the schools, her passion for kids, inspired me to become a teacher as well. My mother is, and always will be my "for good" friend.

Story #3
What defines a best friend? If Webster's had a picture to define a best friend, the picture would be of Cathy. My best friend and soul-sister. We have been best friends since I poked her in the arm with scissors in Kindergarten 35 + Years ago. I struggle with a long term illness. She visits me in the hospital, washes my hair and puts on my makeup if I can't, takes care of my kids, takes me on vacation (she took me to Hawaii this past winter - she paid), helped me find a new job, made sure I was the most beautiful bride when I remarried in 1999, calls ot text messages me where ever she is. She recently suddenly lost her mother. Winning this contest would be a great way to honor Cathy for everything she does for me and is to me...my best friend.

My Friends for Good friend is hands down - Jules! We met 24 years ago and quickly became friends, confidants, sounding boards, co-conspirators, wardrobe assistants (especially loved to share those oh-so-fashinable red rimmed glasses!) Who else would play "I Will Survive" over and over learning every word and making up actions while driving to Chicago to pick up items from my divorce? Who else would take my kids once a week to give me a day off? Who else would back pack through the Smokey Mountains in pouring rain for three days straight? Who else would come to Texas to clean my house while I was eight months pregnant? Who else would be there for me when I lost my mom to cancer and has listened to story after sotry about her ever since? Who else would come to all my kids' events and take more pictures than me? The best - Jules!

Story #5
My "Friend for good" would definitely be my sister. She is a nurse and works very hard 24/7. She is always so busy working, working and more working. Almost a year ago, I was rear-ended by a drunk driver. She as there to help me for the weeks I was on bedrest. She drove me to numerous doctor appointments, specialists and neurologists. She has been SOOOO amazing! I am very blessed to have her as my big sister! I love her very much and would love to surprise her with this awesome night!
