Sam & Theresa Hirte-Runtsch
We’ve known each other for many years – we started dating our senior year in high school and were married three years later. We wanted a Renaissance wedding, but that just wasn’t feasible for two people with quite a bit of college left ahead of them, so instead we settled for traditional Celtic vows. We’ve now been married nine years and still attend the Renaissance every year in costume we’ve been doing so for 12 years now! It would truly be a dream come true to be able to renew our vows Renaissance –style with our closest family and friends in attendance.

Monday, August 8/11:
Carrie and David David and I have been together for 5 years this month. After 7 weeks of dating I got custody of my 2 nieces for a year. He was there every day, even though he lived and worked in Eden Prairie and I in Mahtomedi. We got engaged over a year ago. He picked the date 8/8/08, I wanted an outside wedding in our back yard, so we started looking for our house. Shorty after that he got laid off after 16 years with the company. We rented out his house and he moved in with me. We do not have our house yet and have no wedding plans. This would be a great surprise. David's birthday id 9/1 and I start back teaching 9/2. Help us to make this possible.
Tuesday 8/12:
David & Gail Jensen
David and I were married almost 31 years ago, on October 21st, 1977. We were engaged 10 days after we met, and married 2 ½ months later in the basement of a minister’s home, in front of a bookcase, with only eight people in attendance. No one is either family approved of our marriage, but they grudgingly attended. However, David’s mother was kind enough to have a small buffet dinner at home afterwords. His family sat in one room, mine in another. They did not even talk to each other. It was quite uncomfortable. Except for tow years (I had a stroke, then broke my leg the following year) we have attended every Renaissance Festival since we married. I would very much like to surprise my best friend and lover with a vow renewal done in true Renaissance fashion, and have the special wedding we were never able to experience.
Wednesday 8/13:
Bob & Joy Witt
My wife and I have been together for 19 years and out 10 year wedding anniversary is coming up Labor day weekend and we have a son, Alex, who is 3 ½. Back in 2005…while living in Detroit Lakes with a newborn and a new mortgage….we were both laid off from our jobs. So we sold our house and moved back to the Twin Cities but the stress of the situation caused us to separate for 6 months. We have worked through our problems and with out 10th Anniversary coming up I would like to surprise Joy with something special and the Renaissance Festival has always been one of our favorite events. To be able to renew our vows at the Renaissance Festival would be the greatest anniversary present I could think of.
Thursday 8/14:
Rick McNamer and Christy Weeks
Rick and I have been together for just over 4 ½ years, and go to the Renaissance Festival at least twice a year. We bought our house a couple years ago and would have liked to have been married before we bought the house but to us the house was more important. We bought a newer vehicle for us (to us it’s new, 5 years old) about a year ago. Because of money that too postponed the wedding plans. We have everything a couple in a loving relationship would want, even two babies (well actually cats, they are our babies). All we would like now is to be married. We would go the court house route but would like something more special than that. If you feel that we are a deserving couple for this Renaissance Fantasy Wedding, the pick us. Thanks.
